Our history
Lavvo was founded in 2025 by cabinetmaker Inger Lise Hole. We borrowed our name from the dwelling of the indigenous Norwegian people. 
Balance and responsibility towards nature
Sami culture is built on respect for nature and a holistic understanding of life. Everything is interconnected – people, animals, landscapes and spirits. Many Sami stories and traditions are about balance and responsibility towards nature. We use this mindset as a common thread when working with design and production.
Local production
We produce all our products in Norway, even though it is expensive. This way we support Norwegian craftsmen while keeping our footprint as small as possible.
